"Nothin' on You" has been getting heavy play, but a lot of his other songs are similar, so it seems. His style is very much like Andre 3000 which is really cool (like in sound as well as ability to both sing and rap). He can also play guitar by the way.
His associations are also worthwhile. He's worked with Cobra Starship and with the unknown until recently Bruno Mars. And on his debut album, the credits include Haley Williams and Rivers Cuomo. So, he's probably going to bring in that mix of pop and hip hop that we'd seen previously only really coming from Gym Class Heroes.

I like him. Thank God this song is not a synthesized hip hop cover of some random 80s song.
