Memoryhouse | Bonfire

Ambient. Soft. Summer. Sun rays. A lazy day in a hipster coffee shop.

I'm somewhat in an "easy listening" phase. Nothing too harsh or loud is perfect at the moment. Canadian band Memoryhouse has vocals resembling Zooey Deschanel (in my opinion) with melodies that are slow, but not quite melancholic. I would describe "Bonfire" as the title implies: warm, cozy, and hopeful.

Sub Pop Records is on a role with artists like The Album Leaf, Iron and Wine, CocoRosie, and of course Memoryhouse. Memoryhouse's album The Slideshow Effect, which includes "Bonfire", will be released February 28, 2012.

"Lately" is a spin off of the original track "Phone Call" by Jon Brion featured in the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind soundtrack:
