The Mae Shi is an "indie/synth pop/visual" band (according to their Facebook account), formed in Los Angeles back in 2002. I've only heard this song by them, "Run to Your Grave," which I discovered through Pandora. The quirky, upbeat melody is really quite charming (not to mention the self-directed music video).
