Sunny Day Real Estate - Seven

Although they weren't the first of the genre, Sunny Day Real Estate were instrumental in establishing the emo genre. The bassist went on to play in a band known as Foo Fighters (maybe you've heard of them?). Rediscovered Sunny Day Real Estate while listening to Jawbreaker and Planes Mistaken for Stars (the latter is similar to Sunny Day Real Estate). If you're into early Jimmy Eat World (i.e., "What I Would Say To You Now") you would hella dig Sunny Day, especially since so many parallels are drawn between the bands. Also, Paramore covered "Faces in Disguise" by Sunny Day.
